Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 24 May 2026 · Version: 1.0
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Grind and Seek website and related services (“Service”). By creating an account or using features that require registration, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use those features.
1. Who we are
The Service Grind and Seek is operated by Zaujímam sa (I care), IČO: 50353250, DIČ: 2120739467.
Sídlo (registered office): Budovateľská 3278/45, 058 01 Poprad, Slovakia.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to register (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you are under that age, you may not create an account.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and update it when it changes.
4. User content
You retain rights to content you submit (e.g. events, descriptions, photos, comments, articles). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute it on the Service for its intended purpose. You confirm you have the right to share that content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful, harassing, hateful, or deceptive content; no malware or attempts to breach security; no scraping that overloads the Service; no impersonation of others. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Moderation and events
Events and other submissions may be reviewed before publication. We may refuse or remove content that is inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with community standards, without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Events are posted by users; we are not responsible for third-party events, injuries, or disputes arising from participation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including mandatory consumer protections in the EU/EEA and UK), our liability is limited as appropriate for a community platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion in line with our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or legal requirements.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated on the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. The courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in the EU/EEA that cannot be contractually waived.
Privacy Policy & GDPR
This notice explains how we process personal data when you use Grind and Seek, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and related European standards.
1. Data controller
The controller responsible for your personal data is Zaujímam sa (I care), IČO: 50353250, DIČ: 2120739467, sídlo: Budovateľská 3278/45, 058 01 Poprad, Slovakia.
2. What data we process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process: account data (e.g. name, email, password hash, nationality); profile and preferences; content you submit (events, comments, articles, images); technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and operation; and communications you send us.
3. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR Article 6)
- Performance of a contract — providing the Service you sign up for (account, posting, notifications you request).
- Legitimate interests — improving the Service, security, fraud prevention, and community safety, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where we ask for optional processing (e.g. certain notifications or marketing); you may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with law.
4. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: for example, while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, disputes, and legal requirements. Event and content data may remain visible according to Service rules until deleted by you or us.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We may use hosting, email, or map providers who process data on our instructions (processors under GDPR). If data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
6. Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you have the right to: access your data; rectification of inaccuracies; erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases; restriction of processing; data portability for data you provided, where technically feasible; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country (e.g. your national data protection authority).
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or local storage for session, preferences, and security. Where required, we will obtain consent for non-essential cookies in line with the ePrivacy Directive and national implementation.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under the age of digital consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that threshold without parental authority where required.

For privacy requests or questions about this notice, you may contact us at the above postal address or via contact details published on this website. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by GDPR (typically within one month for requests).
